“When we rely upon organization, we get what organization can do; when we rely upon education, we get what education can do; when we rely upon eloquence, we get what eloquence can do, and so on. Nor am I disposed to undervalue any of these things in their proper place, but when we rely upon prayer, we get what God can do.”
— A. C. Dixon
Here’s a thought:
I wonder how our lives would be different if we relied upon prayer BEFORE WE HAD TO rely upon prayer? To be honest, I think I would put my self in the second position more often than the first. Which is why a 21 Day Focus of prayer and fasting is a great training camp for training your inner man to rely before you’re forced to rely.
If you’re part of the steadily growing "army: that’s launching this year with a 21 Day Prayer & Fasting Focus – clearing out the clutter in our inner world so we can more clearly connect with God and respond to Him in this world – I truly believe we’ll unlock some doors and discover unimaginable God-dreams, God-strategies, God-provision.
Here’s a great verse to stir you, from the paraphrased Word on The Street Bible:
“Keep on keeping on at God. Keep asking — you’ll get it. Keep searching — you’ll find it. Keep pushing the doors — you’ll get through. If you don’t ask, you won’t recognize the answer. If you don’t search, you won’t remember what you’re looking for. If you don’t push the door, you won’t know if it’s been opened.”
Get ready to push on some doors.
