About Community Care
The heart of the Community Care ministry is to love and value people at their point of need, to offer assistance in their time of crisis, and to show the love of Jesus Christ. We foster positive community transformation by supporting community outreach, helping to determine the need within the community, acting as an integration point between outreach teams and working to mobilize our people locally to meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs identified.
Want To Get Involved?
There are multiple ways to get involved in community outreach, in Leduc and the surrounding area. To stay up to date on Community Care events and opportunities to serve within our community, please join the City Life Church Community Care Group on Facebook.
We are creating a Community Care Catalogue to allow us to mobilize people locally to meet physical, emotional and spiritual needs identified in the community. You have skills, talents, experience or time that would be a great blessing to someone in need! If you are interested in being added to the catalogue for future projects please complete this form.
There are regular opportunities to serve within the following ministries:
- Seniors Outreach
At City Life we love to reach down and honour up! This ministry loves to bring laughter and joy to the generations that have gone before us. On a monthly basis we have the opportunity to bless and be blessed through singing, prayer and visitation at nursing homes.
- My Single Parents Closet
This outreach exists to empower single parents in the Leduc area to provide the best for their children. It hosts free “garage sales”, three times a year, that provides clothing, shoes, toys and gear for children from newborn to teen. Volunteers are required on a weekly basis as well as on event day.
To get involved or to donate, visit My Single Parent’s Closet Facebook page.
